UPDATE: Stephen Wright has been found safe and well.

Police in Selby have expressed concern for the wellbeing of a local man who went missing overnight.

Officers are asking members of the public to keep an eye out for 31-year-old Stephen Wright who they say has been missing since Saturday night.

They say he was sighted near the riverbank at around 7am this morning when he was seen with his dog.

Police are growing increasingly concerned for Stephen’s wellbeing and are appealing to anyone who has seen him or knows where he is now, to contact them.

Stephen is described as white, with dark hair and blue eyes. He is around 6ft tall and of medium build and was last seen wearing a blue top and black trousers.

He may also have his dog Ruby with him, who is described as a black and brown terrier.

Anyone who has seen Stephen or knows where he is now is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
