Selby clothes shop get into their '#typeOnsies' for Diabetes Day fundraiser

Written by

Workers at a Selby clothes store are set to come to work in their onesies as part of a fundraiser in aid of diabetes research.

Planned to coincide with World Diabetes Day, this Thursday, the event will see staff at Abbey Walk’s Peackocks store don the popular one-piece garments to support research into type one diabetes.

Store Supervisor, Jayne Sherwood, said, "My son, Corey, was diagnosed with type one in January earlier this year. One of our colleagues is also diabetic.

"As it's world diabetes day we have decided to join in with the #typeonesie campaign for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.”

Anybody wishing to show their support for the appeal, but who is unable to visit the store this Thursday, is urged to donate via their just giving page.
