Leisure providers WLCT, operators of the Profiles gym in the town centre, teamed up Selby Hands of Hope to offer people the opportunity to make a difference this Christmas.
People who would like to support the campaign are invited to visit one of two charity Christmas trees located at the Profiles Health and Fitness suite in Selby (opposite Morrisons) and Tadcaster Leisure Centre.
There, they will be given a special bauble which will detail the age and sex of a child who would benefit from a present provided through the campaign. They will be asked to buy a present for that child, and in return will receive a free 12 day pass for the use of the fitness facilities.
Paul Hirst of WLCT said, "We came up with the idea and approached Selby Hands of Hope as the local charity to work with, having seen the good work it carries out in the local community. We hope people will be able to get involved and are happy to allow anyone kind enough to donate a present free use of the facilities for 12 days."
If you would like to get involved, drop in during December. Opening times can be found at here or call Profiles on 01757 213 758 for more details.
