A motorcyclist has suffered multiple serious injuries after coming off his bike near Escrick.
Fire crews and the Yorkshire air ambulance were sent to the scene, just before 6pm this evening, after reports of the crash on Wheldrake Lane.
On arrival, emergency crews found the unseated male rider had become trapped underneath a mobile cabin. Firefighters used airbags and stabilisation equipment to free the casualty, who was then airlifted to hospital.
The rider's injuries have been described as serious, but non life threatening.
