Thug sought over unprovoked town centre bar attack

A man was assaulted in an apparently unprovoked attack in a Selby bar.

Police are appealing for information after the man was assaulted in Main Street at around 11:30 pm on Saturday, 9th September.

The victim was punched several times during the cowardly attack, the as-yet-unknown assailant then ran off.

Police say the person they are looking for in relation to the attack is believed to be white, around 5ft 8ins and of muscular build. He is thought to be in his late 20s or early 30s with short dark hair and was wearing a bright pink polo shirt.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Lucy Hammond.
