Police have named the passenger who died following a crash on the A1041 near Barlow last month.
Selby resident Wilma Ryan died in Leeds' St James’s Hospital on 14 September. She was 63-years-old.
She had been a passenger in the front seat of a black Ford Fiesta that came into collision with a white Ford Connect on the notorious road, known locally as Camblesforth Straight.
Cat Brant, Wilma’s daughter, has issued the following tribute on behalf of the family:
“She was an amazing daughter, mum and grandma who meant so much to so many different people - many of whom she met through her 42 years in nursing. She will be dearly missed by her friends, family and all who were lucky enough to have her in their life.”
The coroner has opened an investigation into her death and will open an inquest in due course.
Police enquiries are still ongoing to establish the full picture of what happened to cause the crash.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw either vehicle prior to the crash, to come forward to assist the investigation.
