Selby's rail link with the capital has been disrupted as the rail network struggles to get back on track following last week's wintery blast.

Hull Trains services to London Kings Cross are subject to change until at least March 14th. The operator advises customers to expect delays to services during this time.

The company blames ingress of ice and snow into the electrics of its fleet, which it says resulted in additional repairs being required to return some of their trains to service.

Other companies operating on the East Coast Mainline have also reported disruption to services.

Hull Trains has advised customers not to travel today 'unless absolutely necessary'.

Those who do need to travel are advised that tickets will be accepted for travel via Sheffield, from where East Midlands Trains can take passengers into London St. Pancras.
