Tools lifted in Staynor car break-in

Selby police are appealing for witnesses and information about a theft from a car in the town.

It happened on Chestnut Way, Selby, between 9.30pm Wednesday night and 8am yesterday morning, when a Vauxhall Insignia, parked in the driveway was broken into.

The thieves stole a toolbox containing a variety of tools.

PC Alison Marshall, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said, “If you have any information about this theft, I ask you to contact the police straight away.

"In particular, I am keen to speak to anyone who saw people or vehicles acting suspiciously in the Chestnut Way area at the time of the incident and ask them to get in touch.”
