
A motorcyclist remains in a serious condition following a 'single-vehicle collision' near Sherburn.
It happened on Coldhill Lane at around 9.14pm on Wednesday evening.
It is believed the 49-year-old man, from the Leeds area, had been to Squires Café and was heading away from Sherburn in Elmet towards Lotherton Hall when he came off the yellow and red Yamaha motorcycle.
He was taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary where he is in a serious condition.
Local diversions were put in place to allow the emergency services to work at the scene and for a full police examination to take place. The road reopened at around 10.50pm.
