Man sought over stolen credit card purchases

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for help to identify a man in CCTV images who is suspected of purchasing cigarettes using stolen bank cards.

The incidents occurred at Sherburn in Elmet, Selby District, on Tuesday 28 November 2017.

The bank cards were taken from a wallet left in a silver Ford Connect van on Low Street between 8am and 10am.

Contactless payment for cigarettes was made in local Co-op, Spar and Tesco stores between 1.21pm and 1.31pm the same day.

Enquiries by local officers have so far been unsuccessful in identifying the suspect, who was captured on CCTV in the shops.
