Tour de Yorkshire: Film shows highlights of unforgettable weekend

A short film has been produced to show the highlights of last weekend's Tour de Yorkshire.
More than 1.2 million people turned out onto the streets of Yorkshire to watch the county's own cycle race pass by.
This has been a massive boost for us; showing the world what Selby has to offer.
Streets in Selby were packed as thousands of people from near and far packed into Gowthorpe and the Market Place as the peloton set off on a 174km journey between Selby and York (the long way round).
Selby District Council Chief Executive, Mary Weastell, said “What an incredible day for our district. I was so impressed by how the town embraced the race, and the villages along the route supported the riders.
“This has been a massive boost for us; showing the world what Selby has to offer. Our magnificent Abbey offered a unique backdrop for the start and these are images that have gone around the world.”
