Garforth house blaze claims two lives
Two people have died after fire tore through a home in Garforth, this evening.

The blaze took hold at around 6:30 this evening at a property on Farfield Court in the village.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. A second individual was taken to hospital suffering from serious burns, but later died.
Four fire crews were dispatched to the scene after initial reports of a possible explosion at the property.
The gas board has since visited the property whilst neighbouring homes were evacuated.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fountain, of West Yorkshire Police’s Protective Services Department, said:
“We are working closely with the fire service to establish the cause of this incident, which has left two people dead.
“Enquiries are still at a very early stage, but I would ask anyone with any information to contact Leeds District CID on 101.”
