Riccall event to promote incentives for renewables
Yorkshire Energy Partnership, in league with the District Council, are to host an event to help promote renewable energy technologies in the Selby District.
District
Taking place at the Riccall Village Institute, the event will focus on promoting incentives available for the use of technologies such as ground and air source heat pumps.
The incentives are available as part of a government backed scheme called the Renewable Heat Incentive and enables householders to be paid for every unit of heat energy generated for seven years after the installation of the technology. They will also benefit from reduced energy bills thanks to cheaper running costs – particularly useful in rural areas, not served by mains gas.
Residents are encouraged to stop by at the event, taking place between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15th, to speak to reputable local installers and have a look at some of the technologies first hand. There will also be an opportunity to discuss other technologies such as solar panels and home insulation.
To reserve a place at the event, call Yorkshire Energy Partnership on 01904 545 020 or e-mail advice@energypartnership.org.uk. Anyone interested in installing renewables but who is unable to attend this event is also urged to get in touch to find out more.
