Ten car blaze in Brotherton woodland

Sherburn Police are investigating after 10 vehicles were set on fire in a woodland at Brotherton.
Firefighters were called to the scene, off Old Great Brotherton Road, shortly after 2pm on Sunday.
Three crews, from Selby and Castleford, attended. On arrival they found a number of vehicles ablaze.
In a statement, the NYFS said, “A crew from Selby responded to reports of a fire in the open.
“Crews requested an extra two appliances from Selby and Castleford to assist with 10 vehicles on fire in woodland.
“Crews extinguished the fire and the incident was left with the police.”
