A retired Drax Power Station worker is understood to be amongst the dead of Friday's terrorist outrage in Tunisia.
Goole man, Bruce Wilkinson, 72, was one of 38 people who died after when a gunman opened fire on innocent holiday makers on a private beach in the Tunisian resport of Sousse on Friday afternoon.
In a statement, released through Goole MP Andrew Percy, the family said, "We are devastated at the loss of Bruce, who was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Bruce was a loving family man, and in his working life worked to support the care of others.
"He was a kind and compassionate man, with a dry sense of humour. He was fun-loving, and will be deeply missed by friends and family alike."
The apparent act of terror is widely reported to have been the work of 23-year-old Seifeddine Rezgui. Born in the Tunisian town of Jaafour, Rezgui is believed to have become radicalised to the extreme interpretation of Islam promoted in Iraq and Syria by the so-called Islamic State or ISIS.
ISIS has since claimed responsibility for the attack.
