Police are appealing for help to find a missing Riccall man whose campervan was found at Bempton Cliffs near Bridlington.

Missing: Simon Hodgson-Greaves
Missing: Simon Hodgson-Greaves

Simon Hodgson-Greaves, 47, was reported missing on yesterday after a member of the public became concerned that his vehicle had been parked at the RSPB visitor centre overnight, but he was nowhere to be seen.

Simon was last seen by a member of his family last Sunday. He is known to go on frequent camping trips and likes to go walking.

However, police are now very concerned for his safety after finding his unoccupied vehicle and due to the lack of contact with his family. Officers are also exploring the possibility that Simon has gone walking in the area and may have encountered difficulties.

Police are appealing for anyone who believe they have seen Simon since Friday to contact them as a matter of urgency.

He is described as white, around 6ft tall and of slim build. He has sandy coloured hair, a greying beard and moustache, blue eyes and wears spectacles. It is not known what he will be wearing, however, he is known to dress very smartly and often wears tweed jackets, shirts and scarves.

If you believe you have seen Simon or know where he is now, please call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
