Fire breaks out at Ferrybridge Power Station
Fire fighters are tackling a major blaze that has broken out at the Ferrybridge C Power Station just outside the Selby District.

The alarm was raised at around 2pm this afternoon when smoke was spotted coming from a part of the plant believed to be related to the desulphurisation process.
Ten fire engines are now at the scene of the blaze, called from stations in Pontefract, Castleford and Wakefield.
