State-of -the-art care facilities open in Selby
Two state-of-the-art facilities for people with complex needs - and their carers - have been officially opened in Selby.

The £4m new facilities at Kingfisher Place and adjoining Tawny Lodge will now take over from the old Selby Day Centre as a centre for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
As part of the improvements, Tawny Lodge will now be able to offer a four-bedded respite unit, with its own private garden, where people with complex needs can enjoy short stays while their carers take a break.
The centre was officially opened by NYCC's Councillor Clare Wood, executive member for adult social care, who said "These two marvellous facilities will make a huge difference to the quality of life for many people from Selby, and from further afield.
"I am very proud that, despite the very pressing financial times in which we live, North Yorkshire County Council has brought into being these first-class facilities for some of the most deserving and vulnerable people."
The new day centre includes a Changing Place - a combined toilet, shower and changing room for use by disabled people who need access to a hoist or changing bed.
