Missing Selby teenager found after police appeal
A Selby teenager who was missing for four days has been found following an urgent police appeal.

Police confirmed that the missing teenager was found safe and well shortly after going public with their appeal.

15 year-old Rebecca Powell was last seen leaving her home in Brayton at around 9:25pm on Monday. Although it is was believed that Rebecca was initially with friends, police are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and welfare due to the length of time she has been away from home.
Officers are appealing to anyone who has seen Rebecca since Monday or knows of her current whereabouts to contact the police.
PC Heather Wilkinson of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who can help locate Rebecca to contact us urgently. Or better still, if Rebecca sees or hears this appeal, I appeal to her to get in touch. Rebecca you are not in any trouble and we just want to know that you are safe.
“Please get in touch with your family or the police and let us know that you are safe.”
Rebecca is described as white, of thin build, with shoulder length black hair. When she was last seen, she was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt black leggings and white trainers.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
