A tie-up between Persimmon Homes, a local housing association and the local Council has brought a selection of new properties available for rent and shared ownership in Selby.

Six two and three-bedroomed houses have been made available for rent in Spruce Way, part of the Staynor Hall development. Two three-bedroom homes will also be made available under a shared-ownership scheme.
The first tenants to move in under the scheme have now been welcomed to their new home by Jephson Homes. They were Margaret and Robert Coxon, together with their 14-year-old daughter Kellie.
Margaret said, “We were renting a three-bedroom house in York and decided we wanted to downsize because it was too big for us. We’d been looking on the Home Choice website and we found this two-bed in Spruce Way. It’s more modern than where we used to live and is still quite spacious even though it has one fewer bedroom.
“Jephson have been very helpful and this is such a nice area. I think we are really going to enjoy living here.”
Stuart Shore, Jephson North regional director agreed, adding: “We are delighted to have been able to provide these much-needed affordable homes in Selby.”
