West Haddlesey burglary witness urged to come forward
Detectives in Selby are appealing a for witness they believe could have vital information about a West Haddlesey burglary to come forward.

The burglary happened between 10am and 5pm on yesterday at a house in the village. A large amount of money and jewellery were taken during the break-in.
In a bizarre twist however, some of the jewellery was later returned to the property with a note from someone saying they had seen it being thrown from a white van.
The note was signed “Bernie”, who detectives are now very keep to trace as their investigation into the crime continues.
Detective Sergeant Stuart Barnett, of Selby CID, said, “If you are Bernie, I ask you to come forward and contact the police straight away as you may vital information which could help to progress my enquiry.
“I am also asking anyone who can help to identify Bernie, or has any information about this burglary, to get in touch as soon as possible.”
