Man threatened with bar in town centre street

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after a man was threatened with a bar in a Selby town centre street.

It happened on New Lane at around 08:15 am on Friday 4 December 2015 and involved a male being shouted at in the street and threatened with a bar.  The victim ran away on foot and passed two males who may have witnessed the incident.

The male offender is then believed to have got into a white van before leaving the area.

Selby Police are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public's assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist the investigation to contact us on 101, select option 2, and ask for PC 81 GASKIN. You can also email mark.gaskin@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk

Police would specifically like to identify the two males who the victim ran passed following the incident.
