Rush hour chaos as level crossing fails
DEVELOPING STORY:
Traffic through town is returning to normal this evening after a Selby level crossing failed causing rush-hour chaos.

The A19 was brought to a stand-still as barriers at the Brayton Gates crossing remained down until the crossing could be brought back into use.
The crossing was back open to traffic by 18:00 with traffic slowly returning to normal.
