Selby's favourite photograph chosen at Abbey exhibition
The work of some of Selby’s best photographers has been showcased at in a colourful exhibition at Selby Abbey.

Staged last weekend, Selby Camera Club used the event to put the photographs to the public vote in a bid to find Selby’s best image.
The exhibition was a great success with 128 prints on show from a range of artists from the local area. 630 public were submitted by visitors who chose the Selebian public’s favourite photograph.
Topping the vote was Robert Helliwell’s ‘Staithes Winter Light’ which polled a mighty 234 points. The second and third place prizes were awarded to Richard Poskitt for his 'Crested Tit’ and 'Mountain Hare’, receiving 174 points and 160 points respectively.
In fourth place came ‘The Shambles’ by Georgina Brown and fifth place was awarded to 'West Burton Falls’ by David Arundell.
The event was was Selby District Council who will use selected images in its upcoming publications.

Mountain Hare by Richard Poskitt came third.

West Burton Falls’ by David Arundell was fifth
