Arson blamed over Ouse Bank fire
Selby
A fire that sent a plume of smoke high above Selby yesterday afternoon is thought to have been the work of arsonists, firefighters have said.
Crews from Selby, York, Tadcaster and Snaith were dispatched to deal with the blaze that broke out in a barn on Ouse Bank at around 15:20 on Sunday.
Fire investigators suspect the cause to have been deliberate. They say there has been severe fire, heat and smoke damage to the structure.
