Power cut kills power to hundreds of Selby homes

A fault on Selby's electricity infrastructure has plunged hundreds of homes into darkness tonight. 

Families on parts of the Flaxley estate and some further out towards Selby common reported being plunged into darkness at around 5pm this evening. 

Northern Power Grid says its engineers are currently enrolled route to deal with the fault and have set an early resolution time of around 6:45.
