Selby residents amongst fattest in country says public health body
Those living in the Selby District are amongst the most overweight in the country, startling new figures have revealed.

Selby is ranked nineteenth on a new league table, published by Public Health England, charting England's fattest boroughs and districts.
Closer to home, Selebians are now the third fattest in North Yorkshire where only those in Scarborough and Ryedale are carrying more excess pounds.
A staggering 71% of the district's adult population are now considered to be overweight, a level of obesity that is several points higher than the national average.
But it was worse news still for those living in the neighbouring borough of Doncaster. 74.4% of adults in the borough are overweight, the second highest population of overweight people in England.
