Two arrests over Millgate 'disturbance'

Two men have been arrested following a disturbance in Selby last night.

Police were called to reports of an altercation on Millgate, just before midnight last night.

A man in his 20s and another in his 30s were arrested on suspicion of assault. Both had both sustained minor injuries as a result of whatever had transpired in the incident.

Enquiries have continued throughout today with scene of crime officers seen photographing the area. A police incident vehicle has also been at the scene for much of today.

Both men remain in police custody while investigations continue.
