A Selby housing estate looks set for major expansion after plans for 245 new homes were lodged with district planners.
Two separate planning applications, representing the fourth major phase of the Staynor Hall development, will now be considered by planners at Selby District Council. The applications were submitted by Persimmon Homes, the estate's principal developer, together with its Charles Church subsidiary.
This new phase of development on the massive 1,200 home Staynor Hall site centres on land immediately adjacent to Selby College's Abbots Road campus.
If approved, thirty-eight of the proposed new homes would have five bedrooms with the balance being a mixture of two, three and four bedroomed properties.
Residents of properties neighbouring the site have been consulted by the council. Public comments on the proposal are required by Friday, May 22nd.
