Sherburn and South Milford
Fire fighters were dispatched to the village at around 10:00 am this morning after being called to a property on Vicarage Lane. Arriving on the scene shortly after the call, crews found approx 25 bags of Kindling that had been stacked up against the rear of the property had caught fire.
Thankfully nobody was hurt in the incident and crews were able to tackle the fire before it was able to cause significant damage to two nearby properties. Damage from the fire was limited to two windows on the property where the fire had started and that of a neighbouring building.
The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.
