Handbag taken as thieves target parked car

Police are appealing for information after personal items were stolen from a car in Selby.

The incident occurred between 4 pm and midnight on Saturday when thieves targeted the car as it was parked up on Dam Bank. Dam Bank is the small street connecting Flaxley Road with the pedestrian footpath at the bottom of Scott Road field.

A handbag containing a small amount of loose change and a wedding photo album were among items taken.
