Appeal follows village jewellery burglaries

Burglars have made off with a quantity of jewellery after a break in Carton.

Offenders smashed rear windows and forced a door to gain access to the property on High Street on Thursday, April 13th. The incident is believed to have occurred between 11 o'clock in the morning and half past three.

Officers say an 'untidy search' was made throughout the whole house with thieves taking a jewellery box its contents.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident to contact them on 101, quoting ref 12170063203.

■ A separate incident occurred in the nearby village of Camblesforth between Thursday, April 6th and Wednesday, April, 12th.

A property on Beech Grove was broken into where offenders smashed the window at the rear of the property and stole jewellery from within.
