A woman’s body has been recovered from a house after a blaze tore though a house in Brayton overnight.
Firefighters from Selby were called to the property on Moat Way at around 1am this morning.
The body of a woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found at the address. No other people are thought to have been in the house at the time of the fire.
Police have cordoned off the site as investigation work into the cause of the fire and the woman's death gets under way. Detectives are currently treating her death as unexplained and are urging witnesses to get in touch.
