Tour de Yorkshire: Details of Selby's big moment revealed!
With just 58 days until Selby's moment in the national sporting limelight, full timings for the Tour de Yorkshire have been announced.

Crowds will line the area around Selby Abbey when it hosts the ceremonial start of the competition's second day at 11:20 am on Saturday, May 2nd.
From there the peloton will make its way over an 8km 'neutralised' section to the top of Market Weighton Road where the day's racing will get going for real. People of North Duffield and Bubwith will have a particularly up close view of the day's proceeding as the race passes through their villages.
Once the peloton has left the Selby area, the riders will make their way up into the Wolds before looping back towards York where the race circuit the city twice before finishing between 3:30 and 4pm on Knavesmire Road.
The Tour de Yorkshire will kick-off a day earlier in a stage that will see the riders go from Bridlington to Scarborough via Dalby Forest. Finally the race will be wrapped up on Sunday, May 3rd between Wakefield and Leeds.

This is going to be an extremely exciting three days for Yorkshire”.
Thierry Gouvenou, Tour de France Sports Director, said, “Our technical team had a good final visit to Yorkshire and we are very happy with the route the riders will take. With 515km in total there are some excellent opportunities throughout the three days for spectators to see riders take Sprint and King of the Mountain climb points, ahead of finish lines designed to generate the kind of welcome that Yorkshire spectators gave the peloton in the Tour de France”.
Some 500km of Yorkshire's towns, cities and countryside will get to see the race over the three days it runs. Selby is well placed to take advantage of the expected boost in tourism thank's to its status as a race host venue.
Television viewers in more than 70 countries will be able to watch Selby's big moment with live coverage from the race being carried internationally by sports broadcaster, Eurosport.
