Cyclists injured in Cawood hit and run
Two cyclists have been injured after they were clipped by a car in a hit-and-run whilst riding in Cawood.

The pair, a local man and a woman aged 64 and 61, were travelling on Broad Lane in the village at around 2:30pm on Monday afternoon when the incident occurred. Both needed medical attention following the incident and were taken to York District Hospital for treatment.
The car involved was a white Mercedes car which allegedly failed to stop at the scene. The vehicle lost a wing mirror in the collision which was left at the scene.
The two cyclists were travelling towards Long Lane when they were both hit by a white Mercedes car which did not stop at the scene, leaving the two cyclist injured in the road and needing medical attention.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and to the driver of the Mercedes to contact them. They are also appealing to anyone who knows the owner of a white Mercedes with a missing wing mirror and to garages who may have been asked to fit a wing mirror to a white Mercedes since Monday.
