Police apprehend Selby burglary suspect
Police investigating a break-in in the Staynor Hall area have arrested a 24-year-old local man on suspicion of burglary.

He was taken into police custody at 6:15 on Monday morning where he has been questioned on suspicion of burglary, going equipped to steal, possession of an offensive weapon and the attempted theft of a pedal cycle.
The arrest came just over an hour after officers received reports that a man had been seen trying to break into a shed at a property on the Selby estate.
