Council deploys extra vehicles to cope with exceptional recycling demand
Extra recycling trucks have been put on the road today as the council tries to meet exceptional demand in the run up to Christmas.

The Council says it expects to see around a 30% rise in the amount of recycled material, when compared against other times of the year.
A Council spokesperson said,"We deploy additional vehicles to help the regular crews so you may find that not all of your boxes are emptied at the same time. Today we have a separate vehicle collecting paper and cardboard."
The Council has advised residents to leave their boxes out for collection until they are emptied.
