Man injured in Tadcaster hit-and-run crash

Police in Tadcaster are hunting for a driver who injured a pedestrian in a 'hit and run' collision.

The pedestrian, a 25 year-old local man, sustained slight injuries when he was hit by a car outside the Falcon Pub on Chapel Street at around 10:30pm on Friday evening. He was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew.

The car allegedly failed to stop at the scene and investigating officers would now like to trace its driver. The car was described as small and silver - and could have signs of minor damage to its front end.

Anybody who saw the collision, or who saw the vehicle prior to the collision, is urged to contact them on 101.
