Barlow chimney fire drama

A fire crew from the Selby station was dispatched to reports of a chimney fire at an address in Barlow.

The call came at around 7:40 yesterday evening when fire broke out in the chimney at a property on Park Road in the village.

Thankfully, the fire had already been extinguished by the time fire fighters arrived, leaving them to inspect the chimney and ensure everything was safe for the occupants to return home.

A spokesperson for the service said, "The crew gave advice to the occupants of the premises."
