Polls open as county elects officials

Polls have opened throughout the Selby area as voters choose who will represent them on the county council.

Voting began at 7 o'clock this morning with polling stations open until 10 pm tonight.

Those elected to North Yorkshire County Council will serve a four-year term at County Hall in Northallerton.
