Many of the locations will familiar to those who drive in and around the Selby area.
The police now explain the rationale behind how they choose their speed check sites. This is usually as the result of road fatalities, local pressure groups or routes with a higher rate or injuries amongst motor cylists.
The mobile safety cameras will be in operation at the following sites at various times over the coming week. Cameras will not be in use all day, every day. The locations were accurate when this news release was produced.
Due to operating constraints, camera locations may change without prior warning.
