Bizarre spate of bird scarers probed by police in Selby
Farmers in the Selby area have been warned following reports of bizarre series of thefts involving 'bird scarers'.

Five of the devices, which are used by farmers to protect growing crops from feeding birds, have been stolen since the first theft was reported on March 12th.
All were taken from remote fields in villages scattered across the Selby district. These include fields in Colton, near Tadcaster, Barlby, Wheldrake, Rhyther and North Duffield.
Police have asked for anyone with information concerning the thefts to contact them on 101.
