A local man is being questioned on suspicion of money laundering offences after a large quantity of cash was discovered in the car he was driving.

Officers stopped the vehicle on Church Street, Brotherton shortly before 11pm last night.

The driver, a 27 year old man from the Selby area, was allegedly found to be driving without insurance and was placed under arrest.
