Arrest made over town centre assault
Police investigating a town centre assault in which a local man's jaw was 'broken in two' have made an arrest, it has been confirmed.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, March 30th, when a 24-year-old local man, was attacked outside Barclays Bank at the junction of Gowthorpe and Finkle Street.
Selby Online understands a 22-year-old local man was arrested over the weekend, in connection with the late-night attack. He has since been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
The victim spent three days in hospital, where he had metal plates and screws inserted into his jaw to hold his chin together. He may also need further surgery.
