Batteries worth hundreds stolen in Tadcaster
Tadcaster police are investigating after several hundered pounds worth of car batteries were stolen from the town’s recycling plant.

The thefts occurred between 19:00 on Sunday, September 21st and 08:00 the following morning from the Tadcaster Household Waste Recycling on Station Road.
PC Heather Wilkinson, of Tadcaster Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you were in the area of the recycling centre during the time of the burglary, I ask you to come forward if you noticed anyone acting in a suspicious manner.
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who has been offered batteries in unusual circumstances and ask that they get in touch as soon as possible.”
