Selby Little Festival aims to bring the arts to the masses in locations throughout Selby Town Centre.
Selby
Fourteen town centre venues are set to play host to a smörgåsbord of family entertainment when Selby's Little Festival rocks up in town.
Taking place throughout the day on Saturday, May 16th, a variety of acts and performers including musicians, poets, crafts exhibitions, children's animation and theatre groups are set to bring the arts to the masses.
A diverse range of businesses and community groups have lent their support to the festival with performances being held in venues from small shops and bars to the historic surroundings of the Abbot's Staith and Selby's beautiful Abbey.
The Little Festival has been curated by local volunteers working on a project known as 'On Our Turf'. It's been made possible thanks to a partnership with York's Theatre Royal.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers, Karen Banks, said, “Selby Festival should be an amazing experience for everyone involved.
“Come and be part of it - as a helper, performer or audience member. It should be a fantastic day for the arts in Selby.”
