Selby assaults accused due in court
The man arrested in connection with three separate assaults in and around Selby Town Centre this weekend is due in court today.

Stephen Marson, a 24-year-old from the local area, is charged with three counts of causing actual bodily harm and a further charge of possessing an offensive weapon.
His appearance before Magistrates in York comes after three men were allegedly assaulted in a period spanning little more than half an hour during the early hours of Saturday morning.
One of the incidents happened at around 4:30am, when a 21-year-old male victim was struck piece of wood whilst walking on The Chimes, off Flaxley Road. He suffered a serious head injury and had to be taken for medical treatment at York Hospital.
Speaking at the time of Marson’s arrest, Detective Constable Kendra Wedgewood, of Selby CID said, “I urge anyone who witnessed any of the incidents and has not yet contacted the police, to do so straight away, as they may vital information which could progress my enquiries.”
