The market will take place this Monday, April 6th, when traders and shoppers from across the north of England are set to enjoy one of our town's oldest traditions.

As ever, stalls from the enlarged Selby Market will be spread throughout the town including on the Market Place, in Finkle Street, Micklegate and James Street. Traders are expected to start setting up early in the morning with goods on sale from around 9am.

A spokesperson for Selby Town Council, who organise the event, said, "It is always a fabulous place to visit on Bank Holiday market day with visitors from all over the area coming to see what’s on offer.

"We have be inundated with requests to come and trade on the day so weather permitting it will be a great day out for all the family."
