Celebrated local pub hosts meet the brewer night
Regulars to an award winning pub in Burn, have been invited to find out just how their favourite tipple is made at a special ‘meet the brewer’ night.

The event takes place on Tuesday, September 30th at the village’s Wheatsheaf Inn, a pub that was recently voted CAMRA Pub of the Year for the York area.
Landlord Andy Howdall said: “We wanted something a bit different to celebrate Cask Ale Week and thought that our customers would enjoy learning more about what goes into producing some of Yorkshire’s best beers.”
Entry is free and the evening, which is being hosted in partnership with Ossett Brewery, will start at 7.30pm.
A team from the brewery will be on hand to talk visitors through the processes involved and the ingredients used to create Ossett Brewery’s popular products.
There’ll be a tasting session, a raffle for prizes such as polo shirts, bottles and brewery tours and free snacks and nibbles.
The bar will have beers from Ossett, Rat Brewery, Riverhead and Fernandes available.
