27 year-old's sudden death is 'not suspicious'

The sudden death of a 27-year-old man at a home in Selby is not being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to an address on St John Mews, at around 10 o'clock, yesterday evening.

They remained at the scene through the early hours until a private ambulance was seen leaving, just after 2:15.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police confirmed the incident. They told The Selebian, "Officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be prepared for HM Coroner."

The deceased has not been publicly named by officers at this time.
